DTC Searching...
When searching for an OBDII Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC), keep the search simple. Just put the code. For example, search for "p0140" instead of "diagnostic code p0140". Also be sure to use zeros in codes and not the letter "o", and no spaces.

Did you know...
There are handy checklists you can give to your customers so that they can document symptoms they are having with their vehicles. These are located under every vehicle in Repair > General Information > Check Lists.

Did you know...
To maximize the internet browser view by hiding the toolbars, hit the 'F11' key on your keyboard. Hit the key again to return the browser to normal view.

Did you know...
In the TSB section, factory campaigns and recalls are listed along with the TSBs. The "All Recalls by Number" category is reserved for National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) safety recalls only.

Did you know...
You should always check for available TSBs and Recalls before beginning work on a vehicle. TSBs often provide updated procedures and specifications that can save you time and help you fix it right the first time.

Search tip...
Using long search phrases can sometimes lead to few or no results. Try using fewer search terms if you don't find what you're looking for.

Did you know...
You can search for words within the color system wiring diagrams. Go to the Wiring Diagrams help page for more information.

Did you know...
You can find recent articles, TSBs and quotes that you have used by going to the history lists on the Vehicle tab.

Did you know...
You can print a selection of text in an article by highlighting the text you want to print and then hit Ctrl-P to bring up the browser's print function. When the print dialog appears, choose "Selection" under page range. Note: Figures will have to be printed separately.

Vintage Information...
For repair data on vehicles older than 1983, go to our free Vintage Service & Repair Information site, Click the "Vintage" link at the top right of the product screen.

Did you know...
You can use the "hand" tool in the SVG color wiring diagrams to move them around. You can also just hold down the "Alt" key on your keyboard while moving the wiring diagram around with your mouse.

You can find a convenient list of fluids for each vehicle under the Maintenance tab.

There is a VIN decoder located in the Help system. Click here to view the decoder. Requires Adobe Acrobat.

When you post a tip, there is a spell checker available. It is the right-most button on the tool bar above the text box.

Did you know...
If you want to see repair article graphics inline, use the print preview function of the product. Select the heading you want to view and then click print, then select the "Current Heading (with figures)" option.

CAUTION: This method should not be used to preview an entire long article, view individual headings instead.

You can zoom in on a portion of a color System Wiring Diagram by holding the "Ctrl" key on your keyboard and drawing a box on the area of the diagram with your mouse.

You should always select the appropriate sub-model (trim level) or truck series when looking up data. This will help you find the correct data for the vehicle you are working on.

Search tip...
After opening a Repair article from search results, you should expand the article heading list on the right to see any highlighted search terms in the headings. Click on the link labeled "Expand/Collapse Index" above the headings to expand the list.
